ABOUT JD MEANEY
John David Meaney, best known in Oakville as JD, has been living in Oakville since 2001 having moved from Montreal with his family at 11 years of age. Most of his youth in Oakville was spent near downtown Oakville in Ward Three, attending Oakville Trafalgar High School and graduating from White Oaks Secondary School. He pursued his post-secondary education at Seneca College, graduating from the Media Fundamentals Program in 2009. He then went on to Humber College and graduated from the Business Administration Program (2013), receiving an Advanced Diploma.
In 2017, JD moved to Bronte located in Ward One, and now calls this beautiful part of Oakville his home.JD has always wanted to serve his community and contribute positively to Oakville and Canada.

History of Oakville’s Ward Boundaries
The Town of Oakville is comprised of 7 wards. On November 14, 2016, Council passed By-law 2016-109, that increased the town’s wards from six to seven and increased the size of Town Council to 15 (14 councillors, plus a Mayor). These changes came into effect for the 2018 municipal election.
ABOUT WARD 1
Ward 1 is bounded on the:
North by Dundas Street, between Burloak Drive and Bronte Road;
East by Bronte Road, between Dundas Street and the QEW; and by the QEW, between Bronte Road and Third Line; and by Third Line, between the QEW and Lake Ontario;
South by Lake Ontario, between Third Line and Burloak Drive; and, West by Burloak Drive, between Lake Ontario and Dundas Street.
